PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
 

Support development of decommissioning project plans. Perform advanced technical / engineering problem solving, design, and modification development in support of nuclear plant decommissioning. Perform system analysis, troubleshooting for systems supporting storage of nuclear fuel. Support development of work packages and procedures for the layup and abandonment of site systems, components, and structures. Act as Task Manager for contractors supporting engineering analysis.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop system modifications, system abandonment plans, procedure changes in support of site decommissioning. (50%)
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs. (30%)
  • Acts as Task Manager for contractors supporting Engineering analysis for decommissioning (10%)
  • Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications. (10%)


JOB SCOPE

  • Reports to the Decommissioning Senior Project Manager
  • Performs advanced technical and engineering problem solving, design, and modification development in support of site decommissioning.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • B. S. in Engineering or equivalent Technical degree
  • Minimum of 8 years plant engineering experience in the nuclear power industry
  • Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application, and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations
  • Possesses specialty skills and capable of performing tasks independently with minimal supervisory oversight
  • Possess a high level of ownership and accountability. Is able to manage and implement engineering analysis and technical programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • PE Certification
  • Should poses ability to perform cross disciplinary work and / or product review
  • Site decommissioning experience
