PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide engineering services and technical consultation, requiring entry level knowledge of plant operations and design of fossil-fueled boilers/Heat Recover Steam Generators (HRSG’s). Uses independent, professional judgement to trouble shoot and evaluate design changes, root cause analysis, environmental and regulatory compliance support, performance monitoring, and defining outage work and maintenance priorities and resolution of problems associated with procedures, equipment, and systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Yearly Salary Starting from $75,000 - $80,000. Ranges are per year based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.
JOB SCOPE
Performs and evaluates engineering studies, investigations and root cause analysis of problems associated with the performance, maintenance, and operations of pressure vessel related equipment (boilers/HRSG’s, deaerators, heat exchangers, safety valves etc). Other duties may include chemistry. |
Actively participates in evaluation of the operation activities that affect the safe and reliable operation of the fleet of boilers/HRSG’s such as water chemistry, steam attemperation, safety valve maintenance, combustion equipment…etc. |
Provides project leadership, coordination, and technical direction of departmental, company and contractor personnel in connection with the conduct of major maintenance and inspection activities. |
Keeps abreast of technical developments affecting Company, department and area of expertise and remains current and National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) and ASME code |
Prepare and interpret schematics, drawings, layouts and other visual aids |
Develops, monitors, and refines condition assessment programs for critical plant equipment, using state-of-the-art techniques where appropriate |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS� BS Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
Engineer in Training Certification
