Paid technical internships will last approximately 10 weeks starting June 6th thru and August 11th, 2023.  Interns will rotate between departments to gain an understanding of the following technical departments within the nuclear plants:

  • Maintenance (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control)
  • Operations 
  • Radiation Protection 
  • Chemistry 

Nuclear Generation plants:

  • Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant, Oswego, NY
  • Nine Mile Point, Oswego, NY
  • Limerick Generating Station, Pottstown, PA
  • Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Delta, PA
  • LaSalle Generating Station, Marseilles, IL

Qualifications

We are seeking students who meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in an Associate degree program in Operations Engineering and Technician, Electric Power Generation Technology, Energy Technology, Nuclear Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Minimum GPA:  Cumulative 2.8 / Major 3.0
  • A track record of outstanding academic performance
  • Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
