Annual Salary starting from $118,000/yr - $132,000/yr (depending upon level)

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Manage projects, initiation through closeout, as assigned and within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives. Provide leadership for project team members and the Project Management process. Position generally used for projects requiring integration of multiple functional organizations.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the detailed scope, quality, performance, schedule and budget of assigned project(s) in accordance with the Exelon Management Model procedures and standard practices. Ensure proper use of project controls and perform required monthly reporting. (50%)
  • Direct the Project Team and integrate all resources. (10%)
  • Ensure stakeholder review and buy-in of intermediate and final project deliverables. (10%)
  • Provide communication to Exelon Nuclear and site management for assigned / proposed projects. (10%)
  • Provide development, evaluation and recommendation on contracted services and materials. (10%)
  • Ensure Contract Administration on contract(s) as required, including proper closeout of projects as well as post-project critique and lessons learned (10%)


JOB SCOPE

Works independently with only general direction. Responsible for the pursuit of cost reductions and maximizing value on all assigned projects. Responsible for project communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations. Directly accountable for the management of medium to large projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree Project Management, Informational Systems or Computer Science or related discipline and 2 - 5 years project management or related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change
  • Ability to work independently and as a team leader including the ability to handle conflicting priorities in a multi-task environment
  • Demonstrated leadership, communications and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including technology and performance
  • Demonstrated strong judgment and time management skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills, writing skills and PC skills including Work, Excel, Access, Power Point, Project

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience or knowledge of the specific functional area or discipline (e.g., discipline (e.g., Real Time Systems, Finance, Supply, HR or other Nuclear, Utility, Commercial Retail or Corporate functional areas)
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience managing projects
  • Understanding of job budgeting, costing and performance metrics reporting

  • 10 years of directly applicable industry experience, 5 years of which must be in the field of management of projects
  • PMP Certification (within 18 months of starting position)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Project budgeting, cost tracking, and cost estimating experience

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree in business, engineering, science, or related field
  • FLS or Management experience
  • Experience in plant operation and/or maintenance
  • Knowledge of contract management and / or Passport supply system
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations with little direction

Principal Project Manager - E04
