PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Candidate will possess the experience and skills to support and optimize in an advanced role within the Constellation IT organization by providing expert technical guidance, direction and insight to project managers and stakeholders regarding IT system solutions and improvements being deployed within the enterprise environment. Must possess expert & skillful abilities to optimize and maintain high priority and complex IT system initiatives and project solutions [to include both cloud, non-cloud and hybrid cloud models]. 

The IT Sr. Systems Engineer will be expected to provide technical leadership to support delivery and maintenance of IT solutions supporting Constellation. Must have the ability to evaluate IT infrastructure and application solutions and make recommendations for supporting and optimizing application and data workloads within these hosting models. Demonstrate expertise for monitoring, configuration and maintenance, of current hosting services to support virtual hosting technologies, software defined datacenter technologies, hyper-converged datacenter hardware solutions, and software tools. This role will work in collaboration with other IT teams, leadership, enterprise business partners, vendors and project/design teams, in all aspects of the secure & reliable hosting of applications throughout Constellation’s large & complex enterprise and real time operational environments.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support projects, planning, maintenance and operations.  Consults and advises leadership, project teams, application/service support teams and end users to optimize availability and performance analysis for potential changes related to Boomi Atmosphere Platform. Provide technical expertise and guidance for maintaining performance and reliability of key IT solutions.
• Work closely with leadership and the team to develop future improvement plans, resource requirements, migrations strategies, and project schedules to improve service delivery and efficiency. Understand other technologies and service offerings and their impact to the delivery of [cloud based/hybrid/on-prem] services.
• Establish evaluation, testing, lab and mockup solutions as needed. Serve as a senior resource and mentor in assigned daily support and deployments to operations and ensure solutions meet business requirements and established metrics (SLA’s).  Responsible for operating and maintaining complex solutions at the component level, including hands-on configuration, leading troubleshooting efforts and optimization of metrics for [cloud based/hybrid/on-prem] services.
• Provide feedback and guidance to leadership and peers to risks identified during business impact analysis, site risk assessments and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within our own discipline or function.  

Expected salary range of $97,200 - $108,000 per year, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.

Qualifications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or related field) and 5 – 8 years' experience (IT infrastructure support, application support, [cloud computing], disaster/recovery, etc.)  or 9 – 12 years equivalent job experience. 
• 3-5 years’ experience in design and build integrations using Boomi Platform.
• 1+ years’ experience in Azure DevOps or CI/CD Tools
• Demonstrated expert proficiency in at least two operational domains such as storage, compute, database, collaboration, application design, [cloud hosting and related technologies eg Azure, AWS…]
• Ability to travel domestically.  
• 24/7 on-call rotational duties
• Demonstrated consulting, presentation, and project management skills.

Preferred:

• Good understanding and experience with Boomi RBAC and Atomsphere APIs
• Hands-on experience installing, managing, monitoring and troubleshooting Boomi runtimes, especially in Molecule and Private Atom Cloud configurations
• Good understanding and experience with Boomi CICD and related Atomsphere APIs
• Understanding and hands-on experience with Boomi virtual environments creation and management
• Understanding and hands-on experience with Boomi advanced runtime settings and performance optimization
• Experience in setting up Boomi account structure
• Experience of configuration/deployment of Atoms (Local Atom, Molecule, Private Atom Cloud)
• Experience of handling complex document flow - Data split, decisions, branch, try/catch, flow control, Groovy scripting, RegExp, Business Rules
• Experience is designing/reviewing Error handling and Logging (Azure Log Analytics – preferred)
• Experience in Mapping- Building profiles, complex functions in data mapping, handling/transforming to various documents types - XML, Flat, JSON etc
• Experience in working with connectors with operations and understanding the various connection types available for enterprise applications
• Experience in EDI integration with X12 and other latest EDI formats (Nice to have)
• Experience in handling document cache - store, retrieve, update and delete
• Experience in data and document manipulation - set/get properties, parameters (including Meta data)
• Experience and good understanding in API based integrations (REST, SOAP)
• Experience in data encryption (inflight and at rest) – TLS/SSL, PGP/GPG, Certificates management
• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Experience in XML, JSON, FTP, Flat file, W3C standards, JMS/Messaging, HTML, Cloud integration
• Experience in migrating the integrations from existing platform to another

• Position has expertise in Microsoft or Oracle technologies and the integration of these services
• Position has senior level expertise and hands-on competency in platform or application area of expertise, and tools/systems associated with these functions.   
• Work under minimal supervision. 
• Mentors junior-level team members and others.
