LOCATION

This role offers hybrid flexibility. As a hybrid role, an in-office presence will be required occasionally, for meetings and collaboration as requested by leadership. Incumbents will need to reside within commuting distance to one of our office locations. Office locations include Baltimore, MD; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Kennett Square, PA; Louisville, KY; De Pere, WI; or Boston, MA.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

An individual contributor role reporting to a Sr Manager, Director, or Vice President of Retail Partner Sales. This dual commodity, sales and sales support role is focused on increasing the efficiency of the Relationship Sales Managers by assisting with sales activities, interacting directly with channel partners, and managing post deal sales support activities.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Post Deal Resolution (Gas and Power): Serves as the main point of contact for Mass Markets and C&I Post Deal resolution.  Proactively manages gas enrollments through monitoring of various reports.  Enters Cases into SalesForce, in order to resolve post-deal issues (inclusive of but not limited to):  enrollment, billing/invoicing, commission, change of ownership, early termination.  Resolution could also involve working with other functional teams.  Ensures that issues are resolved timely.  Assists in customer outreach associated with OFO’s. Attend training as necessary related to gas and power processes. (50%)
  • Helps to cover for Retail Partner Sales Team members when they are out of the office which would entail communicating with Brokers, handling post deal issues, pricing and booking deals. (30%)
  • Pre Deal Support (Gas and Power): Assists in the set-up, pricing and contracting more complex transactions on the MM and C&I Platforms on an as needed basis. Proactively seeks (set-up, price and contract) renewals. (15%)
  • Functional Knowledge Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrates proficiency on all systems, tools and processes.  Arranges training and best practice sharing with the Retail Partner Sales Team and appropriate functional groups on Tools, Systems and Process Changes. Keeps informed of market dynamics across multiple utilities. (5%)

POSITION SCOPE

  • No supervisory duties   
  • No direct reports
  • Decision-making authority relating to negotiating margins and prioritizing tasks
  • Both internal and external contact relationships
  • No budget accountability, impact on asset management, and organization revenue

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR RELATIONSHIP SALES TEAM PORTFOLIO MANAGER

  • 5 years experience in energy (electricity and/or natural gas) markets with emphasis in sales or sales support.
  • Self starter with a sense of urgency & proactive attitude.
  • Ability to formulate and execute sales strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives at once.
  • Outstanding communication skills and adept at speaking to customers and channel partners.
  • The position requires a self-motivated individual willing to take on a broad range of responsibilities and make decisions in a manner consistent with Constellation values.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products (word, outlook, excel, power point) with an emphasis on Excel
  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree.
  • Experience with both electricity and natural gas
  • Experience with SalesForce, Genesis, REPs, QuoteWizard

  • 7 years experience in energy (electricity and/or natural gas) markets with emphasis in sales or sales support.
  • Self starter with a sense of urgency & proactive attitude.
  • Ability to formulate and execute sales strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives at once.
  • Outstanding communication skills and adept at speaking to customers and channel partners.
  • The position requires a self-motivated individual willing to take on a broad range of responsibilities and make decisions in a manner consistent with Constellation values.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products (word, outlook, excel, power point) with an emphasis on Excel
