***This Engineering role can be filled at the Entry, Mid-level or Senior Engineer level. Please see minimum qualifications list below for each level***

Expected salary range:

Entry level: $ 72,000-$ 80,000

Mid-level: $ 80,000-$ 105,000

Senior Level: $ 118,000-$ 131,000

Ranges are per year based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K


PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Performs advanced reactor engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assure all engineering analysis and recommendations prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements. (30%)
  • Support reactor engineering fleet initiatives and all reactor sites assigned. (25%)
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs. (20%)
  • Accountable for the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of details and in compliance with established policies and procedures. (15%)
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations. (10%)


JOB SCOPE

  • Possesses specialty skills and performs advanced tasks independently with minimal supervisory review.
  • Performs engineering tasks independently area and actively imparts knowledge to others. Higher level of accountability than Engineer 3A. Must be able to manage and implement engineering analysis and technical programs, has wide latitude to make technical decisions within accountabilities.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Entry Level E01 Engineer 

  • B.S in Engineering

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-Level E02 Engineer 

  • B.S. in Engineering and 2+ years Nuclear or related engineering experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior Level E03 Engineer 

  • B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 5+ years engineering experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS for all levels

  • Professional Engineer Registration
  • Advanced technical degree or related coursework
  • Commercial Nuclear Power Plant Experience
