This Maintenance Planner role can be filled a Mid-level or Senior level. Please see minimum qualifications list below for each level********************************

Senior Level:
Expected salary range of $104,400 to $116,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for planning and coordinating labor, material and other resources to assure timely and cost effective completion of work by respective departments in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner in compliance with the company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards. Provides direction and technical expertise to station associates and other external resources to complete assignments. Develops scope, plan, and estimates for outage and non-outage maintenance activities and the improvement of projects. Identifies and evaluates maintenance trends and recommends corrective action.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prepares work instructions that provide direction to the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and the implementation of modifications. Provides support as directed for studies, root cause analysis (CAP), and field evaluations on new and modified material, tools, procedures and engineering practices to improve department performance and develop/share best practices. (20%)
  • Develops and coordinates short- and long-term maintenance schedules with all station departments and other external resources. (20%)
  • Conducts field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance, modification activities. (20%)
  • Defines procedures, drawings, equipment and materials required to perform planned work packages. Facilitates package preparation. (20%)
  • Verifies that work instructions are adequate and in compliance with all applicable company procedures, codes and standards. (10%)
  • Interfaces with others to identify and resolve work package issues. (10%)
  • Performa all other duties as assigned.


JOB SCOPE

  • Position reports to the Manager Maintenance
  • Directs represented associates and/or contractors as required on specific jobs with little supervision to minimize costs while maintaining overall high quality maintenance and workmanship
  • Responsible for developing daily work plans for 6 to 10 craft workers in compliance with all company procedures.

Mid Level:

Expected salary range of $102,600 to $114,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 1. Plan and prepare work instructions that provide direction to the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and surveillance’s, and the implementation of modifications. Select and approve purchase, or make procurement recommendations for all materials needed for work package execution. 50%
  • 2. Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance, modification and surveillance activities and to provide input for refining and improving work package quality. Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve work package issues. 10%
  • 3. Define procedures, drawings, equipment and materials required to performing planned work packages. Facilitate package preparation by preparing and/or submitting OOS’s, RWP’s, plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, Operability impact statements, ALARA task outs, Regulatory/Code documentation, NOS hold/witness points, freeze seal and temporary leak repair documentation, and other requests. 10%
  • 4. Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable station procedures including NSP’s, NSWP’s, ASME Code, etc. Approve and review all required work packages to ensure safety, high quality, technical rigor, and 10CFR50.59 screening or evaluation (if required). 10%
  • 5. Develop revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate and enhance work package development, maintain compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendation, and maintenance direction. 5%

  • 7. Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback/craft interface time, detailed contract requisition reviews, complex troubleshooting, EQR2 reviews, detailed OPEX searches, Maintenance risk/CO request reviews, Planner peer reviews, and system interaction reviews to ensure applicable station processes and applicable changes are supported.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Senior Level

  • BS in engineering or business with 3+ years' experience OR
  • Associate degree with 8+ years' experience and 3+ years exempt-level experience OR
  • H.S. Diploma with 10+ years' experience and 5+ years exempt-level experience.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in mechanical or technical field associated with power generation.
  • Must have completed a positive Leadership Assessment (FLS)
  • Practical working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations required for a safe work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written
  • Analytical and problem resolution skills, adaptability to change and strong initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, establish work priorities and achieve results with minimal supervision.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS or MBA
  • PE License
  • PMI Certification
  • Previous experience with plant modification engineering, design, installation, and testing
  • Multi-site experience
  • Multi-departmental experience
  • Operations experience
  • Collective bargaining experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Mid-Level

  • High school diploma with minimum of four years' experience in the craft discipline that he/she is planning work packages. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year or two-year technical degree · Successful completion of core supervisory/management training and development programs ·
  • 5 years minimum experience in nuclear power plant operations
