Expected salary range of $128,700 to $143,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for directing the development of detailed plans / schedules for forced, planned, and refueling outages while ensuring shutdown safety, ALARA practice, Technical Specifications and plant procedures adherence. Directs the implementation of the outage schedule during the execution of the outage. Crosses all organizational boundaries working with all departments and designated team leaders for pre-outage preparation and execution.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Direct and coordinate the detailed schedule and outage plan development for the upcoming unit outage to ensure technical specification compliance and maintain shutdown safety in a manner consistent with station procedures, processes, and goals. (30%)
• Participate and provide oversight of horizontal schedule reviews and vertical slice reviews. (15%)
• Provide direction to all departmental planners, schedulers, and specialized teams for the outage plan and schedule preparation and execution. (15%)
• Direct the development, implementation, and communication of the Shutdown Safety Program. (10%)
• Direct the outage plan and schedule execution ensuring technical specification compliance while maintaining shutdown safety consistent with station procedures, processes and goals. (10%)
• Perform HIT and Focus team tracking, provide oversight of effectiveness. (5%)
• Coordinate risk screening per OU-AA-101-1011. (5%)
• Develop and maintain forced and maintenance outage plans. Coordinate OCC training and table top drills. (5%)
• Support development of presentation material for T meetings; conduct 4.0 critiques for the capture of lessons learned; conduct gap analysis and updates to the station outage template (5%)

JOB SCOPE

• Responsible for intradepartmental communication and working relationship to establish an outage plan to meet the station goals
• Supports and participates in the outage management peer team initiatives
• Mentors others in the work management organization
• Decisions directly impact outage safety management, duration and scope during planning and execution

• Provides oversight of Horizontal reviews and vertical slice meetings conducted by schedulers to ensure appropriate participation, commitments and goals are achieved.
• Maintain forced outage packages up to date.
• Coordinate and develop shutdown safety management plan. Coordinate Shutdown safety review board meetings, independent shutdown safety review and present to PORC. Monitors implementation of the shutdown safety program during outage execution.
• Owns milestones associated with schedule development and risk screening.
• Supports development of pre-outage meeting packages and Saturday call packages during outage execution.
• Monitor HIT and Focus Team performance to assure effectiveness during outage execution.
• Maintains station GAP analysis and outage templates up to date. Functions as designee for Outage Manager and delegate in his/her absence

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 10 years overall nuclear power plant experience. Possess at least three years operations, engineering, maintenance, scheduling, planning, or work management experience.
• Experience directing operations activities or planning / scheduling maintenance resources in at least 2 refueling outages.
• Personal computer (PC) knowledge
• Intradepartmental communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience with Maximo and or Passport and Primavera scheduling software
• Critical Path scheduling Method knowledge
• Scheduling Tool knowledge
• Ability to provide oversight of schedulers and maintenance schedulers in progress tracking and schedule development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current or previous SRO license or certification
• Shutdown Safety Program knowledge
• Technical BS Degree
• Working knowledge of mainframe and PC based scheduling tools
• FLS / managerial experience
