PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Organizational Change Management team exists to deliver a consistent and transparent journey through technology changes to enable organizational growth, accelerate technology adoption, and drive positive customer experiences. This position is part of the Information Technology (IT) Programs & Services team and is responsible for owning the Organizational Change Management strategy and program for IT, from development through implementation. This is a new position within IT and the OCM Manager will play an active part in defining the role and establishing processes. Additionally, the position will manage the ongoing execution of the program by planning and managing resources, finances, scope, and services within IT to accelerate adoption of technology changes across the enterprise and deliver business outcomes. The role will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and enhancing relationships with internal customers, including stakeholders across the business and project teams. Effective management of large-scale projects or programs of high complexity, size and change management risk is essential for the success of this role.

Organizational Change Management Execution: Develop, implement, and maintain an overarching OCM strategy for IT. Lead and manage IT employees/contractors through all phases of the OCM life-cycle, including intake and demand management, development and execution of OCM plans, and proper budgeting and charging for “Change Management as a Service” activities for LRP projects and/or strategic and operational changes.

Change Enablement/Governance: Manage OCM coaching services and resource allocation under the OCM support model, implement an OCM governance structure, and build the OCM capability across the organization to accelerate change delivery.

Processes: Develop and maintain standard work processes, drive process improvement efforts, and ensure adoption of processes and procedures to deliver sustainable results.

Build Relationships: Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with internal business and IT partners to strengthen the OCM brand and support two-way communication. Regularly communicate relevant activity status and change impacts to key stakeholders, escalating risks and issues as appropriate.

Business Knowledge: Maintain business acumen around the latest industry trends, including technology solutions and OCM best practices, applying that knowledge to projects as appropriate to deliver business value

Personnel Development: Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel through meaningful feedback to promote individual development and collective team success. Promote diversity and foster a team culture of collaboration, flexibility, and continuous learning. Participate in career development and succession planning processes as needed, and provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees. Manage day-to-day activities of employees and contractors, providing guidance and support as needed.

Expected salary range of $140,400 - $156,00 per year, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Management, Computer Science or related discipline and at least 8 to 10 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

·        Strong knowledge of Organizational Change Management best practices and experience leading OCM programs

·        Project/program management experience

·        Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment

·        Ability to independently prioritize tasks, manage multiple workstreams and workloads, and drive work products/results

·        Excellent written and verbal communications skills

·        Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals at all levels across IT and the business, as well as with external partners, to deliver solutions while managing internal stakeholder expectations

·        Strong judgment and excellent analytical skills, with the ability to connect dots across multiple sources of information

·        Strong growth mindset: bring a desire to learn, a tendency to embrace challenges; persist in the face of setback, see failures as essential to mastery, learn from criticism, and find lessons and inspiration in the success of others

·        Self-motivated and accountable

·        Experience with Microsoft O365 tools

·        Organizational Change Management certification (e.g. Prosci certified)

·        Project Management certification 

·        Experience managing budgets for functional area of responsibility

·        Graduate degree in business, IT, or related discipline

·        Prior experience managing a team

 

 

 

 

POSITION SCOPE

·        Lead the development and rollout of OCM strategy and program across IT

·        Serve as day-to-day OCM lead, interfacing with key stakeholders across business and project teams

·        Manage OCM resources and execution including end-user change readiness evaluations, change impact assessments, stakeholder assessments, communication and training plans, sponsor engagement, and resistance management across change rollouts

·        Identify and manage communication channels to deliver timely and relevant information to stakeholders across various projects and impacts 

·        Define and monitor success metrics

·        Integrate change management activities across IT through collaboration with PMO and leadership.

·        Develop and maintain an understanding of the customers’ business needs to determine requirements, set direction, and represent the customer’s perspective

·        Make judicious decisions in both new and familiar situations and contribute to strategic decisions.

·        Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone can bring their authentic self to work, where all voices are heard, and where we do our best work as a result

·        Total Staff Managed (employees and contractors): 1 to 10
