As an IT Senior Manager for Platform Architecture, you will be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals to design, develop, and implement the technology platforms and infrastructure that support the organization's IT systems and applications. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, architect solutions, and ensure the efficient and effective operation of the company's technology platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals responsible for platform architecture, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Develop and implement technology platform strategies and roadmaps that align with the overall IT and business strategies.
- Define and document platform architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and maintainability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT leadership to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Architect and design technology platforms and infrastructure that meet business needs, including scalability, performance, security, and reliability requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as development, operations, security, and data management, to ensure seamless integration and operation of technology platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve the organization's technology platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in resolving complex technical issues related to platform architecture and operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards, including data privacy and security regulations
- Monitor and analyze technology trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Expected salary range of $157,500 - $175,000 per year, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering).
- Typically 10 or more years of experience in leading and managing multiple solutions teams at the manager level or higher.
- Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in IT platform architecture, including designing, implementing, and managing technology platforms and infrastructure.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and managing high-performing teams.
- Deep technical expertise in areas such as cloud computing, virtualization, networking, storage, and security.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT operations best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders to define technical requirements.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to technology platforms, such as ITIL, COBIT, and ISO 27001.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent consultative skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Advanced interpersonal skills, communications skills, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to present and discuss complex technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and approval
Preferred Qualification:
- Graduate degree in Information Systems or related discipline or MBA.
