We are currently seeking candidates for future roles in the following areas:
Mechanical Maintenance Overview
To perform installation, inspection, maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment such as packing pumps and valves, disconnecting, connecting, and insulating pipes, welding, and operating machine tools where close tolerances are not involved.
Electrical Maintenance Overview
Repair and maintain electrical equipment such as motors, generators commutators, circuit breakers, controls and relays, switches. Assist electrical mechanics of higher classification in the performance of their duties.
Instrumentation and Controls Overview
To assist instrument mechanics of higher classification in locating and correcting trouble in control systems and instruments of combustion equipment and nuclear reactors, turbines, chlorinators, water treatment systems, and station auxiliary equipment, involving inspecting, cleaning, calibrating, replacing defective parts, and repairing electrical and mechanical instruments and controls.
Radiation Protection Overview
Evaluate radiological conditions in the nuclear plant and the implementation of the necessary radiological safety measures as they apply to nuclear plant workers and members of the general public.
Chemistry Technician Overview
To obtain samples, prepare the samples, and analyze the samples for chemical and radioanalytical analysis from plant systems. To record and trend data from the chemical analysis. To notify chemistry management for out of specification conditions and adverse trends.
Qualifications
Maintenance (Mechanical/Electrical/I &C) Qualifications:
Mechanical Maintenance
All of the above AND one of the following:
OR
OR
OR
Electrical Maintenance
All of the above AND one of the following:
§ Associates degree in a technical field
OR
§ Two years minimum related Electrical military experience
OR
§ Two years minimum experience as a journeyperson Electrician
OR
§ Two years minimum of equivalent journeyperson Electrician experience in industrial employment
Instrumentation and Controls
All of the above AND one of the following:
· Associates degree or equivalent in Electronics
OR
· Applicable military Electronics maintenance experience
OR
· Specialized training in power plant instrument operation and maintenance/Navy Nuclear Electronic Technician experience
Radiation Protection
· Associates degree or equivalent in Radiation Protection, Health Physics or related field
OR
High School Diploma and 2 year professional work experience in Radiation Protection, Health Physics or equivalent
OR
6 years Navy Nuclear experience, including Engineering Lab Technician (ELT) qualifications
