We are currently seeking highly motivated technical students for Summer Internships for 2024 to work for our Maintenance, Ops, Radiation Protection and Chemistry teams located in multiple locations.  These paid internships will last approximately 10 weeks from 6/3/2024 - 8/9/2024.  As a Summer Intern, you will have the chance to work independently on projects that align with your academic background and career aspirations. 

Interns may rotate between departments to gain an understanding of the multiple technical departments within the nuclear plants. Historically, intern projects have included:

  •  Heat Exchanger Maintenance
  •  Pump Rebuilding
  •  Valve Packing Replacement
  •  Station battery testing
  •  Large Transformer Oil Sampling
  •  Motor Testing

  • Braidwood Nuclear Power Plant – Braceville, IL
  • Byron Nuclear Power Plant – Byron, IL
  • Clinton Nuclear Power Plant – Clinton, IL
  • Dresden Nuclear Power Plant – Morris, IL
  • LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant – Marseilles, IL
  • Quad Cities Nuclear Power Plant – Cordova, IL
  • Limerick Generating Station – Pottstown, PA
  • Peach Bottom Atomic Generating Station – Delta, PA
  • Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant – Lusby, MD
  • Ginna Nuclear Power Plant – Ontario, NY
  • Nine Mile Point Station Nuclear Power Plant – Oswego, NY
  • FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant – Oswego, NY

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an associate degree program in Operations Engineering and Technician, Electric Power Generation Technology, Energy Technology, Nuclear Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or similar programs
  • Minimum GPA: Cumulative 2.8 AND Major 3.0
  • Ability to obtain Nuclear Unescorted Access
  • A track record of outstanding academic performance
  • Eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
