The position will be within the Mobile Projects Department and is responsible for performing all general mechanical maintenance on power plant equipment. The Mobile Projects Department team supports a culture of continuous improvement by participating in training, reinforcing standards, reporting, and mitigating unsafe or undesirable conditions, and utilizing the corrective action program. This position regularly requires 80% travel.

JOB SCOPE
Position reports to Maintenance Foreman-Field Ops The incumbent in this position must be able to communicate across all levels of the organization. Knowledge of plant equipment functions including safety rules and rigging, construction and maintenance practices. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex mechanical problems and make repairs. Safety Consciousness, Contributing to Team Success, Technical/Professional Knowledge, Work Standards and Communication.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Maintenance Technician I
Associates Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics OR • HS Diploma with minimum of 12 - 18 months of trade or technical experience in Power Plant Technology or relevant field experience
Successfully complete the training requirements and time in job requirements for the position including previously passing the MASS test for all levels
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Maintenance Technician II
Associates Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics with minimum of 18 months of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology OR • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Maintenance Tech I or equivalent years of experience with trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or relevant field experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Maintenance Technician III
Associates Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics with minimum of 3 years of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology OR • 5 years’ experience in Maintenance Tech II or equivalent years of experience with trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or relevant field experience. Previous Foreman or supervisory experience • Previous trade union experience (millwright or pipefitting) • Welding qualifications • Machinist experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Maintenance Technician I, II & III
Successfully complete the training requirements and time in job requirements for the position including previously passing the MASS test • Acquire and maintain unescorted access to Nuclear facilities • Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds • Ability to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing and walking long distances • Exposed to heat with reduced stay times, dust, smoke, dirt, high noise areas, confined and cramped work areas, and a nuclear power plant environment including Radiation Dose Exposure. • Works at high elevations on ladders and scaffolds. • Works shift work or weekends as required. • Perform tasks inside radiological controlled areas. • Maintains nuclear qualifications IAW EIS Specific training program. • Maintain Radiation Protection Qualification and training, including respirator qualifications • Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear plant access • Basic computer skills • Good oral and written communication skills • This position regularly requires > 80% travel within the nuclear plants
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Maintenance Technician I & II
Previous trade union experience (millwright or pipefitting) • Welding qualifications • Machinist experience
